Apple Rooibos tea
- 2 cups apple juice
- 3/4 cup water
- Juice of 1/2 lemon & 1/2 orange plus a few slices of each (leaving the peel on)
- 1 cinnamon stick (or 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon)
- 4 slices fresh ginger
- 2 rooibos tea bags
- Pinch of cayenne pepper
- *tbsp of maple syrup if required*
Simmer all ingredients except tea bags for 10-15 mins then turn off the heat.
Add in the tea bags and steep for another 10 mins.
Strain and serve warm after a brisk winter walk!
