Raw Oat & Nut Butter Balls

We make these balls all the time here at The Zest Life and serve them on our retreats for our afternoon snack. They go down a storm. They make the perfect healthy, nutritious snack and are so easy to make. They are small but mighty, you only need one to give you that energy boost.

ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/2 cup ground flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons honey

 

method

  1. Combine all ingredients together in a bowl. Stir together until everything is thoroughly combined.
  2. Roll dough into balls and refrigerate for one hour. (You can eat them right away, but I refrigerated them overnight so they maintained their shape a little better.) Makes 12- 14 balls.
  3. Another option is to stir through a desert spoon of Spirulina, it makes them go green, but its still the same great taste.
