Vegan Chocolate Cake

We love Kelly’s chocolate cake. It is so rich and chocolatey with a squeeze of lemon for a citrus tang. Perfect with your favourite cuppa.


2 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup cacao powder
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup brown sugar / coconut sugar

100g dark vegan chocolate
1 cup plant based milk of choice
1/2 cup warm water
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
Squeeze lemon juice



Preheat oven to 180 DC

Mix all dry ingredients together in a mixing bowl

Mix all wet ingredients together in a mixing bowl

Mix wet with dry ingredients together and transfer to a cake tin.

Bake for 45-50 minutes

Allow to cool.
